Your income tax return for the 2019 financial year is due on 31 March. (unless your industry has a recognised balance date).
Preparing for your return

Filing your return
When you file your return, you will need to have the following information handy:
- DLN (Document Lodgement Number). Inland Revenue will send you a 14-digit number by email and/or post. This is needed to lodge your return online
- Company IRD number
- BIC (Business Industry Classification) code. You can find this at https://www.businessdescription.co.nz/
- Company bank account number
Remember to sign, date and file your income tax return receipt with the rest of your tax records.
